Container growing Vanda — a practical guide from experience
I don't have a garden so a bright bathroom with natural humidity is my only option for Vanda. It absolutely works — with the right attention to feeding with a half-strength orchid fertiliser weekly in summer you can get excellent results in containers.
wide hybridisation resulting in an almost unlimited colour range is fully achievable even in a pot. rest period in summer with focus on leaf and root growth is just as impressive in a container as it would be in the ground, possibly more so because the plant is at closer viewing distance. The main issue to watch in containers: failure to rebloom without a temperature drop trigger. Happens faster than in the ground. Highly recommend for balcony and patio gardeners.
