I started with one Vanda and now have four, all from propagation. The process is straightforward once you understand watering by soaking the pot then letting it drain fully — something I picked up from trial and error rather than any guide.

I display them in a decorative cachepot for a formal living room which shows off extraordinary bloom longevity lasting weeks to months at its best. rest period in summer with focus on leaf and root growth is when they're most impressive. scale insects on pseudobulbs and undersides of leaves has been my main challenge across all of them, but it's manageable now that I know what to look for. A genuinely generous plant if you let it be.
