Container growing Phalaenopsis — a practical guide from experience

I don't have a garden so a north or east-facing windowsill is my only option for Phalaenopsis. It absolutely works — with the right attention to watering by soaking the pot then letting it drain fully you can get excellent results in containers.

spectacular flower forms that rival almost any plant is fully achievable even in a pot. peak bloom display through winter and spring is just as impressive in a container as it would be in the ground, possibly more so because the plant is at closer viewing distance. The main issue to watch in containers: aerial root desiccation in dry centrally heated rooms. Happens faster than in the ground. Highly recommend for balcony and patio gardeners.
