Started Peace Lily at the wrong time — lessons learned

I planted Peace Lily at entirely the wrong point in the growing calendar and spent the first few months wondering what I'd done wrong. leggy growth reaching toward insufficient light didn't help matters. Once I understood checking soil moisture before watering rather than watering on a fixed schedule things improved substantially.

year-round green presence improving mood and productivity is what makes this plant worth persisting with. In a grouped arrangement for a humidity-raising effect it finally looks as good as I'd imagined. slowing down in autumn as light levels drop redeemed the whole effort. If you're starting out: do your timing research before you plant.
