I planted Monstera Adansonii at entirely the wrong point in the growing calendar and spent the first few months wondering what I'd done wrong. fungus gnats in consistently damp potting compost didn't help matters. Once I understood checking soil moisture before watering rather than watering on a fixed schedule things improved substantially.

straightforward propagation by division, cuttings, or offsets is what makes this plant worth persisting with. In a hanging planter for trailing varieties it finally looks as good as I'd imagined. growth spurt when longer days arrive in spring redeemed the whole effort. If you're starting out: do your timing research before you plant.
