Overrated for ease, underrated for beauty — Chinese Evergreen

People describe Chinese Evergreen as easy and I'd push back on that slightly. rotating pots a quarter turn each week for even growth needs consistent attention and leggy growth reaching toward insufficient light can undermine progress quickly if ignored.

Where Chinese Evergreen is genuinely underrated is the beauty. year-round green presence improving mood and productivity is extraordinary when you see it in person. I display it in a hanging planter for trailing varieties and it gets comments from everyone who sees it. slowing down in autumn as light levels drop is the time to really understand what this plant offers. Not for the truly neglectful gardener, but absolutely worth the attention it requires.
