The propagation success I didn't expect with Chinese Evergreen
I started with one Chinese Evergreen and now have four, all from propagation. The process is straightforward once you understand rotating pots a quarter turn each week for even growth — something I picked up from trial and error rather than any guide.
I display them in a bright indirect windowsill away from heating vents which shows off wide range of forms, textures, and light requirements at its best. minimal watering and no feeding through winter is when they're most impressive. fungus gnats in consistently damp potting compost has been my main challenge across all of them, but it's manageable now that I know what to look for. A genuinely generous plant if you let it be.
