I've grown several varieties within the Chinese Evergreen family and have some observations to share. wide range of forms, textures, and light requirements varies noticeably between them, more than catalogue descriptions suggest. The care fundamentals are shared — rotating pots a quarter turn each week for even growth applies across all of them.

overwatering causing yellowing leaves and root rot affects some more than others, particularly in adverse conditions. I grow mine in a bright indirect windowsill away from heating vents which works well for most varieties. growth spurt when longer days arrive in spring is the clearest moment of differentiation between varieties — that's when the character of each comes through. Worth growing a few side by side if you have the space.
