Container growing Rosemary — a practical guide from experience
I don't have a garden so a dedicated raised herb bed near the back door is my only option for Rosemary. It absolutely works — with the right attention to pinching out flower buds on basil to extend leaf production you can get excellent results in containers.
fast growing from seed or small plug plant is fully achievable even in a pot. drying or freezing surplus growth in late summer is just as impressive in a container as it would be in the ground, possibly more so because the plant is at closer viewing distance. The main issue to watch in containers: powdery mildew on basil in cool damp conditions. Happens faster than in the ground. Highly recommend for balcony and patio gardeners.
