The propagation success I didn't expect with Rosemary
I started with one Rosemary and now have four, all from propagation. The process is straightforward once you understand planting in free-draining soil in the sunniest spot — something I picked up from trial and error rather than any guide.
I display them in a dedicated raised herb bed near the back door which shows off aromatic foliage that intensifies in heat at its best. drying or freezing surplus growth in late summer is when they're most impressive. bolting in hot dry weather especially with cilantro has been my main challenge across all of them, but it's manageable now that I know what to look for. A genuinely generous plant if you let it be.
