A year of growing Oregano — detailed seasonal notes

Here are my notes from twelve months of growing Oregano:

Spring: sowing and planting out after last frost in spring. This was the moment that confirmed the whole venture. I focused on planting in free-draining soil in the sunniest spot during this period which set up the rest of the year.

attractive to bees and other pollinators when in flower developed steadily through the warmer months. mint spreading invasively through garden beds appeared in summer and required prompt treatment. The plant in a dedicated raised herb bed near the back door performed better than I'd expected for the position. Overall: a rewarding year. The investment of attention is paid back generously.
