I've grown several varieties within the Peach Tree family and have some observations to share. dual ornamental and productive value in a garden varies noticeably between them, more than catalogue descriptions suggest. The care fundamentals are shared — formative pruning in the first three years to build good structure applies across all of them.

fireblight bacterial disease affecting pears and apples affects some more than others, particularly in adverse conditions. I grow mine in a large half-barrel container on a sunny patio which works well for most varieties. blossom opening in spring requiring frost protection is the clearest moment of differentiation between varieties — that's when the character of each comes through. Worth growing a few side by side if you have the space.
