Three things I wish someone had told me before growing Mango Tree
After growing Mango Tree for over a year here is what I'd tell a beginner.
First: mulching around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds is not optional — it's the foundation everything else depends on. Second: codling moth larvae in fruit at harvest will happen and you should know how to handle it before it does. Third: a specimen tree as a garden focal point genuinely matters — the right position unlocks dual ornamental and productive value in a garden in a way a poor position never will. winter pruning while the tree is dormant is the payoff for getting all of this right. It's worth every bit of effort.
