Three things I wish someone had told me before growing Lemon Tree
After growing Lemon Tree for over a year here is what I'd tell a beginner.
First: thinning fruitlets in early summer to improve individual fruit size is not optional — it's the foundation everything else depends on. Second: biennial bearing producing a heavy crop every other year will happen and you should know how to handle it before it does. Third: a specimen tree as a garden focal point genuinely matters — the right position unlocks long productive lifespan of decades with good management in a way a poor position never will. winter pruning while the tree is dormant is the payoff for getting all of this right. It's worth every bit of effort.
