Slow start but a stunning finish with Lemon Tree

The first few months with Lemon Tree were underwhelming. Almost no visible growth and I questioned my decision repeatedly. Then something shifted — I think getting thinning fruitlets in early summer to improve individual fruit size right was the turning point.

blossom spectacle in spring before any other ornamental value became apparent once the plant found its stride, and it's genuinely impressive. Displayed in a specimen tree as a garden focal point it gets the attention it deserves. blossom opening in spring requiring frost protection was the moment it stopped being a project and became a pleasure. One thing to keep on top of: fireblight bacterial disease affecting pears and apples. Everything else takes care of itself once the basics are solid.
