Here are my notes from twelve months of growing Fig Tree:

Spring: fruitlet setting and development through summer. This was the moment that confirmed the whole venture. I focused on checking and adjusting tree ties and stakes annually during this period which set up the rest of the year.

blossom spectacle in spring before any other ornamental value developed steadily through the warmer months. codling moth larvae in fruit at harvest appeared in summer and required prompt treatment. The plant in an orchard with mixed varieties for cross-pollination performed better than I'd expected for the position. Overall: a rewarding year. The investment of attention is paid back generously.
