I've been growing Apple Tree for a full year now and want to capture what each season offered. blossom opening in spring requiring frost protection was the clear high point — everything you're told about Apple Tree at that time of year is true. But the plant has something to offer in every season, which I hadn't expected.

long productive lifespan of decades with good management is consistent throughout the year, which is one of its real strengths. I've settled on a large half-barrel container on a sunny patio as the ideal position. mulching around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds was the lesson I took into next year. codling moth larvae in fruit at harvest is the only thing that interrupted the enjoyment. Otherwise: excellent.
