I nearly gave up on Maidenhair Fern after three months of mediocre results. Then I focused properly on maintaining consistent moisture without waterlogging and within a few weeks the difference was dramatic.

It now lives in a woodland garden understorey planting and has genuinely transformed that spot. wide range from compact table plants to large architectural specimens is even more impressive in person than I expected from photos. spectacular new crozier unfurling in spring was spectacular — worth every bit of patience. If you're struggling with yours, maintaining consistent moisture without waterlogging is almost certainly the issue.
