The propagation success I didn't expect with Bird's Nest Fern

I started with one Bird's Nest Fern and now have four, all from propagation. The process is straightforward once you understand removing dead fronds cleanly at the base in spring — something I picked up from trial and error rather than any guide.

I display them in a woodland garden understorey planting which shows off dramatic unfurling fiddle-head growth in spring at its best. early emergence from the soil before most other plants in spring is when they're most impressive. root bound stunting in pots left too long without repotting has been my main challenge across all of them, but it's manageable now that I know what to look for. A genuinely generous plant if you let it be.
