The propagation success I didn't expect with Saguaro
I started with one Saguaro and now have four, all from propagation. The process is straightforward once you understand protecting from frost below -5°C even for hardy varieties — something I picked up from trial and error rather than any guide.
I display them in a dry garden rockery or gravel bed which shows off extremely long-lived with minimal intervention at its best. offsetting and pup production in spring is when they're most impressive. spider mites in warm dry indoor conditions has been my main challenge across all of them, but it's manageable now that I know what to look for. A genuinely generous plant if you let it be.
