The propagation success I didn't expect with Moon Cactus
I started with one Moon Cactus and now have four, all from propagation. The process is straightforward once you understand using pure mineral grit for drainage in the soil mix — something I picked up from trial and error rather than any guide.
I display them in a south-facing windowsill in full sun which shows off remarkable drought tolerance once established at its best. rapid growth during the warm summer months is when they're most impressive. root rot from any waterlogging in winter has been my main challenge across all of them, but it's manageable now that I know what to look for. A genuinely generous plant if you let it be.
