The first few months with Daffodil were underwhelming. Almost no visible growth and I questioned my decision repeatedly. Then something shifted — I think getting planting at three times the depth of the bulb right was the turning point.

remarkable energy stored underground for a reliable annual performance became apparent once the plant found its stride, and it's genuinely impressive. Displayed in a naturalised lawn planting for a wild spring effect it gets the attention it deserves. peak spring bulb display from tulips and daffodils was the moment it stopped being a project and became a pleasure. One thing to keep on top of: blindness with no flowers produced from weak or immature bulbs. Everything else takes care of itself once the basics are solid.
