The propagation success I didn't expect with Camassia
I started with one Camassia and now have four, all from propagation. The process is straightforward once you understand planting at three times the depth of the bulb — something I picked up from trial and error rather than any guide.
I display them in a cut flower garden for fresh indoor arrangements which shows off increasing clump size year on year when well established at its best. peak spring bulb display from tulips and daffodils is when they're most impressive. narcissus fly larvae tunnelling into the base of the bulb has been my main challenge across all of them, but it's manageable now that I know what to look for. A genuinely generous plant if you let it be.
