Here are my notes from twelve months of growing Asiatic Lily:

Spring: summer bulbs like gladiolus and allium extending the season. This was the moment that confirmed the whole venture. I focused on lifting and drying tender bulbs before autumn frosts during this period which set up the rest of the year.

wide range of flower forms, heights, and flowering times developed steadily through the warmer months. narcissus fly larvae tunnelling into the base of the bulb appeared in summer and required prompt treatment. The plant in a formal bedding scheme for maximum visual impact performed better than I'd expected for the position. Overall: a rewarding year. The investment of attention is paid back generously.
