I planted Wisteria Bonsai without expecting much and it's become one of the most satisfying things in my garden. living art form that reflects decades of patient cultivation is something I couldn't have predicted from looking at it in a nursery. You only understand it once the plant is established and performing.

I keep it in a seasonal rotation on display when looking its best which is perfect for it. watering daily in summer as bonsai pots dry out fast was the thing I got lucky getting right early. repotting temperate species in early spring before buds break stopped me in my tracks the first time I saw it. spider mite and scale in stressful growing conditions is a real thing — just check regularly and deal with it quickly.
