Three things I wish someone had told me before growing Wisteria Bonsai
After growing Wisteria Bonsai for over a year here is what I'd tell a beginner.
First: repotting every two to three years with root pruning is not optional — it's the foundation everything else depends on. Second: root bound decline from leaving in the same pot too long will happen and you should know how to handle it before it does. Third: a dedicated display stand at eye level for appreciation genuinely matters — the right position unlocks miniaturisation of full-grown tree characteristics in a way a poor position never will. vigorous growing season requiring wiring and pinching is the payoff for getting all of this right. It's worth every bit of effort.
