Started Wisteria Bonsai at the wrong time — lessons learned
I planted Wisteria Bonsai at entirely the wrong point in the growing calendar and spent the first few months wondering what I'd done wrong. drying out and death from missing a day's watering in summer didn't help matters. Once I understood styling with the front and viewing angle in mind from day one things improved substantially.
seasonal change including blossom, foliage colour, and bare winter silhouette is what makes this plant worth persisting with. In a bright indoor shelf for tropical species only it finally looks as good as I'd imagined. vigorous growing season requiring wiring and pinching redeemed the whole effort. If you're starting out: do your timing research before you plant.
