Overrated for ease, underrated for beauty — Juniper Bonsai

People describe Juniper Bonsai as easy and I'd push back on that slightly. styling with the front and viewing angle in mind from day one needs consistent attention and root bound decline from leaving in the same pot too long can undermine progress quickly if ignored.

Where Juniper Bonsai is genuinely underrated is the beauty. deeply personal relationship between artist and tree is extraordinary when you see it in person. I display it in a purpose-built outdoor bonsai bench with correct height and it gets comments from everyone who sees it. repotting temperate species in early spring before buds break is the time to really understand what this plant offers. Not for the truly neglectful gardener, but absolutely worth the attention it requires.
