Honest review: Cherry Blossom Bonsai is rewarding but spider mite and scale in stressful growing conditions is real

Cherry Blossom Bonsai is a genuinely satisfying plant to grow, but I want to be upfront about one thing: spider mite and scale in stressful growing conditions. I've dealt with it twice now and it takes consistent attention to manage.

Beyond that, deeply personal relationship between artist and tree makes it one of my favourites in the collection. I keep it in a bright indoor shelf for tropical species only which suits it well. Learning about styling with the front and viewing angle in mind from day one has been essential. repotting temperate species in early spring before buds break is worth waiting for — the plant really justifies itself then. Four stars because of that persistent issue.
