Container growing Lucky Bamboo — a practical guide from experience
I don't have a garden so a poolside or water feature surrounding planting is my only option for Lucky Bamboo. It absolutely works — with the right attention to removing the oldest and most congested canes each spring you can get excellent results in containers.
rapid establishment and fast vertical growth is fully achievable even in a pot. foliage refresh as older leaves shed in late winter is just as impressive in a container as it would be in the ground, possibly more so because the plant is at closer viewing distance. The main issue to watch in containers: running bamboo spreading beyond its intended boundary. Happens faster than in the ground. Highly recommend for balcony and patio gardeners.
