A year of growing Lucky Bamboo — detailed seasonal notes

Here are my notes from twelve months of growing Lucky Bamboo:

Spring: new shoot emergence in spring growing at remarkable speed. This was the moment that confirmed the whole venture. I focused on installing a root barrier for running bamboo before planting during this period which set up the rest of the year.

rapid establishment and fast vertical growth developed steadily through the warmer months. new canes not reaching full height in the first year appeared in summer and required prompt treatment. The plant in a focal point specimen in a large container performed better than I'd expected for the position. Overall: a rewarding year. The investment of attention is paid back generously.
