A year of growing Heavenly Bamboo — detailed seasonal notes
Here are my notes from twelve months of growing Heavenly Bamboo:
Spring: foliage refresh as older leaves shed in late winter. This was the moment that confirmed the whole venture. I focused on watering heavily in the first season to establish the root system during this period which set up the rest of the year.
year-round evergreen screening and architectural presence developed steadily through the warmer months. running bamboo spreading beyond its intended boundary appeared in summer and required prompt treatment. The plant in a focal point specimen in a large container performed better than I'd expected for the position. Overall: a rewarding year. The investment of attention is paid back generously.
