The propagation success I didn't expect with Black Bamboo

I started with one Black Bamboo and now have four, all from propagation. The process is straightforward once you understand installing a root barrier for running bamboo before planting — something I picked up from trial and error rather than any guide.

I display them in a poolside or water feature surrounding planting which shows off rapid establishment and fast vertical growth at its best. best container division and replanting in spring is when they're most impressive. running bamboo spreading beyond its intended boundary has been my main challenge across all of them, but it's manageable now that I know what to look for. A genuinely generous plant if you let it be.
