Beginner success with Arrow Bamboo — here is what helped

As a complete beginner I was nervous about starting with Arrow Bamboo. It turned out to be more forgiving than I expected, as long as I paid attention to watering heavily in the first season to establish the root system.

I grow mine in a focal point specimen in a large container which is working really well. beautiful sound of canes moving in wind was a genuine surprise — I didn't expect it to look or perform like that. cane hardening and leafing out through summer has been the highlight so far. My biggest mistake early on was ignoring running bamboo spreading beyond its intended boundary, which I'd recommend addressing immediately.
