Overrated for ease, underrated for beauty — Arrow Bamboo
People describe Arrow Bamboo as easy and I'd push back on that slightly. removing the oldest and most congested canes each spring needs consistent attention and new canes not reaching full height in the first year can undermine progress quickly if ignored.
Where Arrow Bamboo is genuinely underrated is the beauty. year-round evergreen screening and architectural presence is extraordinary when you see it in person. I display it in a focal point specimen in a large container and it gets comments from everyone who sees it. best container division and replanting in spring is the time to really understand what this plant offers. Not for the truly neglectful gardener, but absolutely worth the attention it requires.
