The propagation success I didn't expect with Pickerelweed

I started with one Pickerelweed and now have four, all from propagation. The process is straightforward once you understand dividing overcrowded plants every two or three years in spring — something I picked up from trial and error rather than any guide.

I display them in a natural wildlife pond with naturalistic marginal planting which shows off natural filtration improving water clarity and quality at its best. foliage die-back and pond tidying in autumn is when they're most impressive. overrunning the pond surface in productive warm summers has been my main challenge across all of them, but it's manageable now that I know what to look for. A genuinely generous plant if you let it be.
