Three things I wish someone had told me before growing Hornwort
After growing Hornwort for over a year here is what I'd tell a beginner.
First: planting in aquatic baskets with specialist pond compost is not optional — it's the foundation everything else depends on. Second: root-eating by water lily aphids or china mark moth will happen and you should know how to handle it before it does. Third: a formal ornamental pond with clear water and reflections genuinely matters — the right position unlocks cooling visual effect and microclimate benefit in summer in a way a poor position never will. peak flowering period in midsummer is the payoff for getting all of this right. It's worth every bit of effort.
