I'd had Tillandsia Xerographica for about eight months with acceptable but unremarkable results. Then I started really paying attention to misting more frequently in hot dry indoor conditions and the difference over the next two months was dramatic.

completely soil-free growth from atmospheric moisture and nutrients became much more pronounced. The plant in a decorative driftwood or cork bark mount now looks like a completely different specimen. most vigorous growth in warm humid summer months confirmed that I'd finally unlocked what this plant can do. bleaching and burning from direct summer sun has been less of a problem since I got the overall conditions right. If your Tillandsia Xerographica is underwhelming, look at misting more frequently in hot dry indoor conditions first.
