I don't have a garden so a wire frame or macrame hanging display is my only option for Tillandsia Stricta. It absolutely works — with the right attention to providing bright indirect light or outdoor shade in summer you can get excellent results in containers.

completely soil-free growth from atmospheric moisture and nutrients is fully achievable even in a pot. most vigorous growth in warm humid summer months is just as impressive in a container as it would be in the ground, possibly more so because the plant is at closer viewing distance. The main issue to watch in containers: base rot from water not drying within four hours of soaking. Happens faster than in the ground. Highly recommend for balcony and patio gardeners.
