Three things I wish someone had told me before growing Tillandsia Caput-Medusae

After growing Tillandsia Caput-Medusae for over a year here is what I'd tell a beginner.

First: misting more frequently in hot dry indoor conditions is not optional — it's the foundation everything else depends on. Second: base rot from water not drying within four hours of soaking will happen and you should know how to handle it before it does. Third: attached to a seashell or stone for a natural arrangement genuinely matters — the right position unlocks flowers only once in a lifetime but produces offsetting pups after in a way a poor position never will. flowering triggered by lengthening days in spring or summer is the payoff for getting all of this right. It's worth every bit of effort.
