As a complete beginner I was nervous about starting with Tillandsia Caput-Medusae. It turned out to be more forgiving than I expected, as long as I paid attention to providing bright indirect light or outdoor shade in summer.

I grow mine in attached to a seashell or stone for a natural arrangement which is working really well. surprisingly tough once watering rhythm is established was a genuine surprise — I didn't expect it to look or perform like that. pup production after flowering creating a new clump has been the highlight so far. My biggest mistake early on was ignoring scale insects or mealybug in the leaf bases, which I'd recommend addressing immediately.
