A year of growing Tillandsia Caput-Medusae — detailed seasonal notes
Here are my notes from twelve months of growing Tillandsia Caput-Medusae:
Spring: flowering triggered by lengthening days in spring or summer. This was the moment that confirmed the whole venture. I focused on soaking in water for 20 to 30 minutes once or twice a week during this period which set up the rest of the year.
surprisingly tough once watering rhythm is established developed steadily through the warmer months. dehydration shown by rolled or curled leaves appeared in summer and required prompt treatment. The plant in a decorative driftwood or cork bark mount performed better than I'd expected for the position. Overall: a rewarding year. The investment of attention is paid back generously.
