Three things I wish someone had told me before growing Tillandsia Brachycaulos
After growing Tillandsia Brachycaulos for over a year here is what I'd tell a beginner.
First: shaking off excess water after soaking to prevent rot at the base is not optional — it's the foundation everything else depends on. Second: dehydration shown by rolled or curled leaves will happen and you should know how to handle it before it does. Third: a wire frame or macrame hanging display genuinely matters — the right position unlocks flowers only once in a lifetime but produces offsetting pups after in a way a poor position never will. pup production after flowering creating a new clump is the payoff for getting all of this right. It's worth every bit of effort.
