Here are my notes from twelve months of growing Tillandsia Andreana:

Spring: flowering triggered by lengthening days in spring or summer. This was the moment that confirmed the whole venture. I focused on providing bright indirect light or outdoor shade in summer during this period which set up the rest of the year.

surprisingly tough once watering rhythm is established developed steadily through the warmer months. scale insects or mealybug in the leaf bases appeared in summer and required prompt treatment. The plant in a wire frame or macrame hanging display performed better than I'd expected for the position. Overall: a rewarding year. The investment of attention is paid back generously.
