Binge-watched the whole thing in a week

I started The Crown thinking I'd watch an episode or two. Three sleepless nights later I'd finished the entire run. Claire Foy and Olivia Colman's respective portrayals is just unmatched. Margaret Thatcher is one of the great characters in TV history.

The finale actually delivered

So many shows fail their endings. The Crown stuck the landing. The final episode resolves Margaret Thatcher's arc in a way that feels both surprising and inevitable. Peter Morgan clearly knew where this was going from episode one.

Changed how I think about television drama

The Crown showed me what television can do. The Britain's post-war decline storyline is handled with more intelligence than most films. Claire Foy and Olivia Colman's respective portrayals elevates the whole thing. Required viewing for anyone who cares about storytelling.

A bit overhyped but still very good

The Crown lives up to maybe 80% of the hype. Claire Foy and Olivia Colman's respective portrayals is genuinely excellent. The Britain's post-war decline element is well done. My only complaint is that things drag slightly in the middle. Still four stars.

Doesn't disappoint at any point

There are no filler episodes in The Crown. Every single hour justifies its existence. Princess Margaret has one of the great character arcs in television. I've already rewatched it twice.

Some dips but overall a classic

The Crown has a few uneven episodes across its run but the high points are some of the best television ever made. Fairytale alone is worth the subscription. Britain's post-war decline is explored in genuinely surprising ways.

One of the greatest shows ever made

The Crown is a masterclass in television storytelling. Peter Morgan's writing is meticulous — every episode builds towards something. The theme of Britain's post-war decline runs through every storyline. A must-watch.

Excellent ensemble cast

What makes The Crown special is how every character feels fully realised. Not just Margaret Thatcher — even the minor characters have depth. Peter Morgan clearly spent years thinking about this world.

The acting is what makes it

Margaret Thatcher is played with incredible subtlety. You believe every choice they make even when those choices are catastrophic. the stunning production values is a big reason this show rose above its peers.
