Absolutely gripping from start to finish

I haven't been this invested in characters since I was a kid. Jon Snow is brilliantly written — you understand exactly why they make terrible decisions. the spectacular production scale is the best part of an already excellent show.

The finale actually delivered

So many shows fail their endings. Game of Thrones stuck the landing. The final episode resolves Jon Snow's arc in a way that feels both surprising and inevitable. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss clearly knew where this was going from episode one.

Doesn't disappoint at any point

There are no filler episodes in Game of Thrones. Every single hour justifies its existence. Cersei Lannister has one of the great character arcs in television. I've already rewatched it twice.

The world-building is unmatched

Game of Thrones creates a world so fully realised that every detail feels intentional. The rules are consistent, the consequences are real. power and its costs gives the whole world a moral weight that most shows lack entirely.

Good but not the greatest ever

Game of Thrones is excellent television but I wouldn't rank it as the all-time greatest. the spectacular production scale is legitimately fantastic but some middle episodes lose momentum. Worth watching absolutely, just with tempered expectations.

Excellent ensemble cast

What makes Game of Thrones special is how every character feels fully realised. Not just Tyrion Lannister — even the minor characters have depth. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss clearly spent years thinking about this world.

Perfect for bingeing

Every episode of Game of Thrones ends at exactly the right moment to make you immediately start the next one. the unpredictable willingness to kill major characters is addictive in the best possible way. I finished the whole run in four days.

The writing is extraordinary

Every line of dialogue in Game of Thrones has purpose. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss and the writers' room craft scenes where subtext carries more weight than text. The episode The Rains of Castamere is one of the best hours of television I've ever seen.

One of the decade's defining shows

Game of Thrones will be talked about in TV history discussions for decades. The way it handles power and its costs is mature, nuanced, and unflinching. Jon Snow is one of the most complex characters ever written for television.

One of the greatest shows ever made

Game of Thrones is a masterclass in television storytelling. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss's writing is meticulous — every episode builds towards something. The theme of power and its costs runs through every storyline. A must-watch.
