Ingredient appreciation — what makes Manti special
What sets Manti apart is the handling of lamb mince. In lesser versions this is treated as a background note. Here it's central and the subtly sweet and aromatic result shows it. I've started buying it to cook with at home after this experience.

Finding the best Manti in the city — a personal search
I spent three months trying every version of Manti I could find locally. The variation in quality is extraordinary. The best version handled bulgur wheat with genuine knowledge and the richly savory result was noticeably superior.

Restaurant review — Manti that actually delivered
I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Manti well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The tangy with sumac and pomegranate base was authentic and the use of pomegranate molasses showed real knowledge.

Manti for a dinner party — went down extremely well
I made Manti for eight guests who had varying familiarity with the cuisine. Every single person asked for the recipe. The tangy with sumac and pomegranate profile was the main talking point — no one had quite experienced sumac used that way before.

Pairing Manti correctly — a note on çay black tea
Most people overlook how much the right drink changes Manti. I ordered it with çay black tea and the warmly spiced and complex elements of the dish sharpened considerably against the pairing. Turkish red pepper paste in particular became more prominent in a good way.

Honest verdict on Manti — good but not exceptional
Manti here was solidly made — warmly spiced and complex without anything to complain about. sumac was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Underwhelming Manti — expected more
I was looking forward to Manti here based on the reputation. The reality was disappointing. The warmly spiced and complex character that makes this dish special was muted — either from shortcuts with pomegranate molasses or from scaling up production at the expense of quality.

Cultural discovery through Manti
Manti opened a door into a cuisine I'd previously known almost nothing about. The richly savory flavours are unlike anything in my usual rotation and I mean that positively. the meze tradition of small shared dishes predates the main course. The Manti I grew up eating — memory as a review
I grew up eating Manti and have strong opinions shaped by memory. The version here triggered that recognition in the first bite — the tangy with sumac and pomegranate was right, pomegranate molasses was handled the way it should be.

Cooking class experience — learning Manti properly
I took a cooking class specifically to learn how to make Manti correctly. The instructor explained why sumac is used the way it is — something I'd never understood from just eating it. The tangy with sumac and pomegranate result when you make it yourself is different.
