Honest verdict on Brik — good but not exceptional
Brik here was solidly made — fiery and aromatic without anything to complain about. preserved lemon was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.
Tunisian cuisine is the spiciest of the Maghreb cuisines thanks to the importance of harissa. The a seaside fish restaurant atmosphere was pleasant enough. boukha fig spirit was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Brik this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
