Honest verdict on Bambalouni — good but not exceptional

Bambalouni here was solidly made — fiery and aromatic without anything to complain about. tabil coriander spice blend was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Tunisia is the world's third largest olive oil producer and olive oil underpins the cuisine. The a seaside fish restaurant atmosphere was pleasant enough. mint tea was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Bambalouni this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
