Holiday memory — Som Tum that transported me back

I first ate Som Tum on a trip five years ago and have been searching for a version this good ever since. This restaurant finally delivered the balanced between sweet, sour, salty, and spicy quality I remembered. Thai basil was handled correctly — something most restaurants here get slightly wrong.

fresh herbs and aromatics are added at the last moment to preserve fragrance. It was the a Bangkok street stall memory that I was really chasing and this recreated it. Singha beer was offered and brought the whole experience together. Some dishes are attached to a time and place. This one finally restored that attachment.
